About Us

Dr Sonali Langar did her Postgraduate residency from Department of Dermatology, Venereology and Leprology at Govt. Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, a well equipped prestigious super specialty hospital in northern India. . She did her Senior Residency from one of the leading and reputed hospital of New Delhi – Dr Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital and Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (RML). During these years she gained proficiency in managing special clinics for vitiligo, leprosy and sexually transmitted diseases patients, Demato-surgery / cosmetic surgery procedures like electrocautery, radiofrequency, cryotherapy, dermabrasion, punch / excision biopsy, surgical excisions, punch grafting and partial thickness skin grafting for vitiligo,chemical peels, Molluscum / milia extraction, intra-lesional injections, nail avulsions, operating Phototherapy units (UVA, NB – UVB chambers) and operating Lasers ( Q switched Nd:Yag, CO-2). She has presented seminars, journal clubs and unusual clinical cases in academic sessions and IADVL clinical meets. She also has experience in clinical teaching of undergraduates, junior residents and postgraduates. During her stay in RML she was actively involved in research work involving new medicine for Psoriasis. Presently she works as Consultant Dermatologist and cosmetic surgeon in Apollo Hospital Noida and Yashoda superspeciality hospital Ghaziabad. Her paper "Occurrence of plant sensitivity among patients of photodermatoses: A control-matched study of 156 cases from New Delhi" won the Indubala Memorial Award for best paper published in IJDVL in 2009.
